On Saturday, February 4, the girls Varsity bowling team had their regional meet at Lakes Bowl in Round Lake. The girls ended up placing sixth out of eleven teams, which unfortunately means the season has come to an end for most of the team, except for two of the players, junior Samantha Knab and senior Jayme Bailey.

Knab had earned a series score of 1,184 pins throughout six games in the match which had gotten her to place sixth overall in the meet. Along with Bailey earning a series score of 1,112 pins throughout her six games to place her ninth overall, which had allowed them to both advance to sectionals.

Freshman Lynn Michalec is already preparing herself for next year’s bowling season.

“To prepare myself for next season, I’m going to continue working out, and go to open bowling, along with my Saturday morning league to help bring my speed up,” Michalec said.

Wish Knab and Bailey luck as they bowl at their sectional on Friday, February 10.
