The girls cross country team had a successful dual meet on Tuesday night at 4:45 p.m. against Grayslake North.

Many of the girls felt as if they have improved since their last meet.

“I did well on closing the gap between me and the Grayslake North runner coming up behind me as I was running because she was their number 3 girl for their team, which means she scores the most points,” junior Noor Abdellatif said. “I had to make sure she didn’t pass me or else that’s another point for them.”

Junior Natalie Hill finished the race with a time of 21:08 and placed first for the Seqouits with junior Izzy Mateja coming in at second place. Grayslake North also ran determined with one of their runners beating Hill close to a minute.

“Despite the rain, I felt like the team had a great attitude and ran really well today,” Hill said.

The Seqouits did well as a team and were able to run strong with close times. Catch the lady Sequoits at their next invitational at Fox River Park on Saturday, September 30 at 9:00 a.m.
