It’s just about that time of year again. Chilly football games, colorful trees and dreadful shopping for autumn clothes, but you don’t have to break the bank just to stay warm and fashionable this fall. There’s plenty of ways to incorporate your fun summer tank tops and dresses into your cozy autumn wardrobe.

“I continue to wear some of my summer clothes when it starts to cool down,” junior Avery Malicki Czaplewski said. “It’s super efficient and I don’t always need to buy new clothes.”

You will soon learn that layers will be your best friend. Whether it be a jean jacket, cardigan or even just a zip up hoodie, layers make transitioning your wardrobe easy.

Take your favorite tank top and a long sleeve cardigan and pair it with jeans; this outfit allows you to wear your summer tank top without getting goosebumps in the process.

“I continue to wear certain tops and just play with them and incorporate different hoodies or sweaters,” Malicki Czaplewski said.

If you enjoy dressing up, buy some knit tights to pair with your dress to keep your legs warm this fall. To complete the outfit, put on some little booties and a jean jacket.

Any summer outfit can be modified to fit your autumn wardrobe with an open-mind and a little creativity.
