On February 25, the varsity lacrosse team held their tryouts along with the JV team, who held theirs on February 27 and 28. Both varsity and JV performed stick-drills to help determine what team the players would be placed on. Being his first year on varsity, Caden Jimenez attended tryouts for both teams in hopes to make varsity.
“The first day I didn’t do so well because I hadn’t been practicing, but the second day I had a lot more confidence and it went a lot better,” Jimenez said.
Jimenez, along with the rest of the varsity lacrosse team, will face Crystal Lake South in their first game at home on March 19.
