Lipstick Shades to Kiss the Winter Blues Away

Go dark to complement bulky sweaters and the bright holiday colors.

Every fall and winter season calls for a new shade of lipstick. From deep plums, to rosey reds, there is bound to be a shade perfect for every style.

Different hues of lip color can be chosen by what makes a favorite sweater pop or simply based off of what compliments a variety of complexions. However, deciding the shade is the hardest part.

Senior Andi Leineberg shared her go-to fall and winter lipstick color.

“I prefer a dark, peachy mauve because it is not over the top, but still adds a pop of flare to any fall outfit,” Leineberg said.

Spending a ridiculous amount of money on one shade of lipstick does not have to be the case. Typically any drugstore or supermarket will carry that shade without pressing too much on a tight budget. Instead of buying the latest Mac lipstick, which ranges around 40 dollars, one can test out several lipstick colors at their nearest drugstore for the same amount of money.

Be daring and experiment. Confidence is key when being adventurous with lip shades.
