On August 30, 2015 VMAs 32nd show was hosted by the one and only: Miley Cyrus. Cyrus appears to be either loved or hated by the, which may be due to her riské, provocative language and dance moves, many believe she is not entirely the best role model for young adults.

However, the fact that she was the host caused a lot of confusion. Despite Cyrus’ showy outfits and extremely vulgar final performance, more celebrities had their own ‘embarrassing’ moments.

Kanye West, also known as Yeezus, made a statement regarding running for President in 2020. Who knows exactly why or how he will carry out his campaign, but further detail was not specified in his rambling speech after winning the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Moreover, the VMA’s was not completely trashy from start to finish.

During the duration of the show, Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj performed Swift’s single Bad Blood. According to Time, “Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj already put an end to their twitter drama weeks ago, but the two proved there’s no bad blood between them when they kicked off the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards together.” Not only did Minaj and Swift make a comeback, but Bieber did as well. With tears in his eyes, Bieber seemed a bit overwhelmed when hitting the stage at the VMAs for the first time in five years. Also, to not touch on the drama of the night would be absurd. The New York Times says, “Ms. Minaj won best hip-hop video, and she closed her speech with a challenge to Ms. Cyrus, whom she called “this bitch who had a lot to say about me last week in the press.”

In the end, The VMAs I guess you could say was a success, but I would describe it as an utter embarrassment.
