Many people take the new year as an opportunity to change something in their lives or their self image, but do they ever stick with it?

It’s time to kiss 2014 goodbye and greet 2015 with positive and warm thoughts. With the new year coming in full swing, students of Antioch Community High School have decided to take the new year up to set goals for themselves.

ACHS junior Collin Runyard said, “My new year resolution this year is to venture out into the world and find true love.”

Many people struggle to keep their resolutions and most goals are not kept. But, there are some people that are very determined to keep and accomplish their resolutions.

“I am 100% determined to keep this resolution because I know I’m destined to find love this year. I am pretty confident that I’ll achieve this goal by keeping my eyes open for any girl thats lucky enough to be mine,” said Junior Collin Runyard.

Along with students, many teachers make resolutions too. But in the end, even teachers fail to achieve most of their goals.

“My new years resolution is to go home from work everyday at 4:30. Sadly, I broke this goal already because I had too much work to do and I thought I’d rather get all of my work done then go home early,” said teacher Colleen Buzby.

Whether people keep their new years resolutions or not, resolutions are still a very common and popular thing to have. It takes true determination to keep and achieve these goals. But does a new year really mean a new improved and changed person?
