The first steps of senior Grant Hackeloer’s involvement in rigorous weight lifting began in the summer of eighth grade.

Nowadays, it’s his lifestyle.

Hackeloer started lifting as well as executing healthy habits for strength and wellness to help him grow in his biggest passion, football. He is a part of Antioch Community High School varsity football team and hails as the starting middle linebacker. In addition to football, he partakes in snowboarding, jogging, and weight lifting events. In one of these weight lifting events, he received a second place record for benching 315 pounds. Hackeloer has even earned a spot on ACHS’s record board, and is expecting to begin personal training this upcoming week.

Healthy habits don’t just stay within the gym, but outside of the gym as well. Hackeloer claims that eating healthy is crucial and just as important as working out, and plans meals including proteins, good carbs and vegetables.

In the midst of sports, this athlete successfully maintains good grades in school, and is eager to start college.

Although he is undecided on what college he wants to attend, Hackeloer said, “I’m excited to be apart of a new [football] team and to earn my spot.”

Hackeloer is especially thankful for the many people who have impacted his life. He appreciates all the training, motivation, and encouragement his coaches brought forth to this point. But most of all,  he shows great gratitude to his biggest fans, mom and dad.

“My parents are my biggest supporters,” said Hackeloer.
