Antioch Community High School’s Cardinal Crazies are new and improved for the 2014-2015 school year. In past years, ACHS was notorious for its energetic fan section that is non-stop, start to finish. This year, it just gets better.

With the Crazies becoming a school club, there are many benefits: funding, a more positive environment and being more responsible, respectful and proud. Being a Cardinal Crazy can now be fun for everyone and the whole school can enjoy it together.

“It’s fun, it’s exciting and I’m really pumped for the football season,” said senior and Cardinal Crazy leader Collin Prather.

This year, the leaders put in a lot of work to make it the best season yet. With the high intensity being in control and well thought out, the fan section will be louder than ever. Not only will they be loud, but the themes of the games will be another something to look forward to with the addition of new ones, such as Mardi Gras and zombie.

The Cardinal Crazies expect to be truly crazy and better than ever.

“We will be above and beyond all the other fan sections. We will be loud and crazy and wild,” said Prather.

This year is a year to look forward to. Whether you are an athlete being cheered for or you’re a part of the fan section, it’s going to be a memorable year. This season’s games are sure to be loud, crazy and wild; swing by a few to get in on the fun.

The Crazies will host tailgates before all home football games, in addition to running three new pep rallies (one for fall, one for winter and one for spring). The first tailgate will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29 outside of the auditorium entrance.
