Junior Gino Riforgiato has played lacrosse for seven years, and for Riforgiato, lacrosse is more than just a game; it is a way of life. Riforgiato plays on a travel team that plays year round and this gives him the opportunity to travel all around the country to play in many different tournaments.

Riforgiato plays midfield, midfielders are allowed to play on the entire lacrosse field, not just one half. Midfielders play both offense and defense, and it requires a lot of endurance and speed. Riforgiato moves the ball very quickly and does well with transitioning the ball from defense to offense.

Riforgiato believes the team has some things they can improve on for this upcoming season.

“As a team, we have to build more chemistry, as well as improve our stick skills,” Riforgiato said.

He also feels he could improve personally as well.

“Personally, I need to get faster and stronger,” Riforgiato said.

Catch Riforgiato and the rest of the lacrosse team on Wednesday, March 22 at Stevenson High School at 6:45 p.m. for their first game.
