Senior Warren Sundt has been playing hockey since the age of three and has been in the Lakers Hockey organization since his sophomore year. The Lakers Hockey team consists of players from Grayslake North, Grayslake Central, Grant, Antioch and Lakes.

“It’s cool meeting people that you haven’t played with before, and that don’t go to your school,” Sundt said.

The hockey team is playing hard through the 2016-2017 season with old and new faces on the team. Sundt works hard to to motivate his teammates to play stronger, tougher hockey and to never give up, even if they are are losing.

“We still have a long part of the season ahead and we can’t put our heads down now,” Sundt said.

Sundt has made a positive impact throughout the past couple seasons with his sense of motivation on and off the ice. He has always gotten along with his teammates throughout his years of playing for the Lakers.

As of now, the Lakers Hockey team is struggling with a record of 1-5-1. Support the Lakers and watch their next game against Notre Dame Saturday, December 3 at 8:30 in Pleasant Prairie.
