Principal Bradford Hubbard, Athletic Director Steve Schoenfelder and World Language Chair Chad Rusk will compete in a wing-eating competition at 6:30 p.m at Buffalo Wild Wings to promote a fundraising contest there.

Antioch will compete against Grant High School, Grayslake North High School, Round Lake high School and Grayslake Central High School on Jan. 28 at Buffalo Wild Wings. To participate, students eat at Buffalo Wild Wings and present a printed fundraiser voucher. With a voucher, Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 15% of each student’s purchase to Sequoit Pride. The two schools who receive the most money will go to the final round, and the winner of that round is the winner of the 3,000 dollar grand prize.

“It’s good because you get to eat food while supporting your school at the same time,” junior Bryan Ortiz said.

Some students see it as an opportunity to give back to the school without doing much.

“It’s a great excuse to go to Buffalo Wild Wings,” junior Emily Olson said.
