Boy's golf continues their win streak through their victory over Grayslake North.

On Wednesday, August 29, the Antioch boy’s golf team took an amazing win in their fifth game against Grayslake North. The athletes had a great start to the season and plan on keeping it that way.

The boys started off their first game with a win and are still holding the winning streak. Great plays were made by seniors Alexander Riedel and Tony Sertic, with Sertic scoring 38 and Riedel scoring 41. Both of the athletes played their hardest and showed true Sequoit pride.

“I felt really good going into the match,” Sertic said.”I knew I would perform well this match even before we arrived at the course.”

Throughout the game, Riedel led the Sequoits to victory making sure that everyone stayed together as a true leader does for their team.

“I love being able to lead my teammates into matches,“ Riedel said. ”When I’m out there on the course, I really feel like I’m free.”

At the end of the match, the boys took on their fifth win with a record of 5-0. The athletes are having a great start to the season and plan on doing even better in the future.

Come cheer on your fellow Sequoits in their next match against Grant Community High School on September 4 at Antioch Golf Club.
