Tryouts: Girls Track and Field Checks In

The Sequoits girls track and field team have been bringing the fight to the opponent. So far the girls have had multiple indoor meets, all of which they have performed well in. Personal record-breaking performances have come from many, including juniors Ayanna Tommy and Rachel Filipek, and senior Noor Abdellatif.
“The first meet went very well because we’ve had one of the best finishes at the first meet in a long time,” Abdellatif said.
The girls have performed very well overall and hope to keep it up throughout the rest of the season. The girls will have their next meet against Highland Park at 4:30 p.m. on Mar. 8 at Highland Park Community High School.
