During a basketball game against Round Lake High School, junior Alex Larson dribbles to go take a shot.

It’s always tricky to keep a positive mentality when your team is not doing very well. Every team always wants to the the best, and they want to try and win all of their games. This year the Sequoits boy’s basketball team is not doing as well as they were hoping for.

“It’s hard to keep our spirits up, but our coaches have been keeping us in a positive state of mind,” junior Alex Larson said.

When at a game it’s always important to stay positive no matter what the outcome is. If your team lost, it’s good to stay positive so the other team doesn’t see that it got to you. It’s also important to stay humble after a win, so you don’t make the other team feel bad.

Basketball may have be having a rough season, but it’s always key to stay positive and to learn from your mistakes. The boys will keep moving forward and keeping their spirits up.
