Some athletes only play one sport all school year, so most of the year is their off season. Softball is starting up and some of their players are on a club team that practices during the school off season. It’s always beneficial to keep up with all of your skills during the off season.

“I train with my club softball team which really gets me ready for the school season,” junior Kayla Burkhart said. “I condition and lift weights to improve my strength, and I also go to hitting lessons every week,”

Softball is not the kind of sport where you can not practice for months, then come into tryouts expecting to be as good or even better than you were before the season.

During the off season it’s in your best interest to practice frequently, so you can keep up with your skills and better them.
