For sophomore Robert Christiansen, basketball is more than just a pass time. Basketball is a great way to stay active and make great relationships that will last a lifetime. In addition to creating new bonds, basketball is a intensely competitive sport filled with action and excitement.

“I play basketball because I really enjoy it. It’s nice to do to something that distracts my mind; plus I get to play with some of my closest friends,” Christiansen said.

Playing sports is a great way to meet new people. Christiansen is described by his fellow teammates as a fun, hard working player.

“Robby is a good all around player, and is a guy that everyone on the team likes to be around,” sophomore Jack Gillespie said.

Like most passionate athletes, Christiansen began playing at an early age. He started in the 4th grade, but his love for basketball  kicked off in the 7th grade.

“It was 7th grade that I realized I had potential to become a better player, that is when I started to put in work to improve my game,” Christiansen said.

Christiansen plans to tryout for the Varsity basketball team and is willing to put in the work to get to the next level.
