Wilmot Mountain draws a lot of people during the winter because of its snowboarding, skiing, tubing hills and terrain parks. But this upcoming winter will attract even more guests. Vail Resorts is the new owner of Wilmot Mountain and plans to make big changes. Altogether, $13 million has been put into making the winter experience at Wilmot the best it can possibly be for customers.

“The transformation taking place this summer will re-imagine every aspect of the guest experience at Wilmot Mountain,” said Taylor Ogilvie, manager at Wilmot Mountain according to vailresorts.com.

They have been working hard since the end of last winter to have the new and improved Wilmot ready for people to enjoy this upcoming winter. The new Wilmot Mountain will include seven new refurbished lifts, a completely remodeled lodge with upgraded dining options, an expanded new terrain park, a high speed rope tow and new snow-making equipment to make snow even faster and more efficient.

“While we think our guests will be thrilled with the on-mountain improvements such as new chairlifts and state-of the art snowmaking, it’s the adoption of best practices in all aspects of guest service and on-mountain operations that will further elevate Wilmot Mountain to truly become ‘where Epic begins,'”said Ogilvie.
