The Varsity Girls Bowling Team competed at regionals this weekend with their match located at home. The girls went up against ten other teams with senior Samantha Knab taking first as individual in both conference and regionals.

“It feels great to win,” Knab said. “Being the individual regional champion on top of last week’s conference champion is a great way to end my senior year of bowling. I never could of imagined these back to back wins.”

For the rest of the team, the girls placed first, becoming regional champions.

“My favorite part of bowling at regionals was when the team realized that we had beat Grayslake North, one of our biggest competitors that day,” sophomore Allison Kane said. “What made regionals such a different and great experience was that the team came all together and coached each other.”

With the exceptional win, the girls are now preparing for sectionals which are this Saturday, February 10,  at Arlington Lanes.
