Relaxing Rainy Day Ideas

Four relaxing activities to do on a rainy day

With the chilly fall storm season quickly approaching and school kicking into full gear it seems almost impossible to have fun and have time relax yourself. Sometimes the smallest things can make a big impact on your mood and energy levels on a cold and rainy day.

Treat yourself to a face mask, there are thousands of options for different face masks. Face masks are not just to improve your skin or get rid of blemishes, they are an easy and very cheap way to get deep exfoliating relaxation without leaving the warmth and comfort of your own house.

Invite some friends over and have a movie marathon. Collect as many pillows and blankets you can from around the house, make some popcorn and just enjoy the moment. Junior Summer Rizzo often enjoys movies on cold rainy days.

“It’s a great time to get to know people”, Rizzo said. “There isn’t pressure to talk, but conversation comes naturally with dramatic movie and shared laughter with comedians”.

Pick up a book you haven’t read in a long time. Maybe you are not one who likes to read, then pick up a book from your childhood. The memories that will come flooding back to you will provide you with a greater feeling than any other story that you could read in a adult book.

Grab a pencil and paper, turn on some music and doodle. You don’t have to be artist  to doodle, your doodles are special to you. It could be words or pictures. Just really relax and let the pencil do it’s thing.

“I often doodle, it distracts me and helps calm my nerves”, Rizzo said. “I think of new things to draw and I typically use a lot of colors”.

Life in Antioch seems to dull as the summer sun is replaced with cold rainy fall nights, but with these activities you can stay relaxed and entertained.
