Senior Sally Bessette blocks a hit.

The lady Sequoits headed over to face the Grayslake North Knights on Thursday, October 19. Right out of the gate the Knights put up a fight and the Sequoits fell short 25-18 in the first set.

“We all felt confident going into our games last night,” junior Grace Weber said. “We focused on our blocking for the games.”

The Sequoits did not give up as they headed into their second set. They put up a hard fight and came out successfully winning 25-17. They then headed into the third set and final set. Antioch came out on top winning the third and final game to 25-20. The girls are excited for the most important part of their season.

“Heading into playoffs, I am confident that my team will be successful. We have grown stronger as a team by communicating and not giving up,” Weber said.

The Sequoits now plan to prepare for their upcoming playoffs that will begin on Tuesday, October 24.
