Protein shakes do make a difference, despite some of the rumors circling the fitness world and being plastered all over fitness magazine covers. They help muscle building and also help give your body energy it needs for a workout. For all its great benefits, there is a downside. The price is a different story.

Protein shakes from a local GNC can cost around a whopping$ 60, if you’re lucky. On top of that, containers can range anywhere from 11 servings to 30. This all depends on what type you buy. Many people decide not to buy protein powder because they believe the price is not worth the difference in body mass.

It is important to have plenty of protein throughout your day to have a healthy style. The average person should consume 1 gram of protein per pound of how much they weigh. But, the bad part about this is that if you consume too much much protein, your body will just flush it out. In other words, money is being flushed down the toilet. Literally.

Before purchasing protein, it is very important to do research so it is worth every penny. Supplements can be very beneficial if it is done the correct way by counting grams of proteins and counting cash.
