Tuesday, October 3, is a day to remember for the Sequoits. The varsity boys cross country team executes a perfect 15 point sweep over the North Chicago Red Hawks and the Wauconda Bulldogs.

With twenty-three members running, the team tried their best to stay together as a group which showed great unity within the team.

“I felt that the chemistry was high today. We stayed as a group the whole race, passing about ten runners all together. We stuck by each other’s sides and helped motivate and push each other,” senior Alex Besson said.

Antioch filled all the places in the top seven runners to finish the race. Leading the charge for the Sequoits were seniors Max Barton in first, Joe Sculuca in second, and Alex Besson in third.

The Sequoits look to continue their streak of outstanding performances this Saturday, September 7 at the Wheeling Invitational.
