The Sequoits went home happy last night, after coming a way with a solid, 61-36 win. The Sequoits had a good start to the game according to senior, Megan Kelly.

“We really moved the ball around and played like a team to get the win,” Kelly said. “We’ve had better games but we definitely played as a team last night.”

Megan Kelly believed that they have had better games, but they still played well and got a lot of playing time.

As the game continued, the team started to pick it up. By the end of the game the Sequoits aggressive defense and almost perfect shooting ended the night well against the North Chicago Warhawks.

Kelly said overall the girls offense played better than their defense. The way that they can improve their defense is by working on communication so they will be able to trap more effectively.

“Our defense was lacking, but are offense was really good,” Kelly said. “We were getting a lot of shots from the corner.”

Kelly believes that the team will take this win and include it into momentum moving forward.
