Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cup of egg whites
  • 1 ½ cups of sugar
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  2. Put sugar and flour together twice and set aside
  3. Preheat oven to 350.
  4. Add cream of tartar, salt, and extracts to egg whites and stir until fully mixed
  5. Gradually add the remaining sugar two tablespoons at a time, stir until fully mixed
  6. Blend in flour mixture half cup at a time
  7. Carefully spoon into an ungreased tube pan
  8. Cut through the batter with a knife to get rid of all air pockets
