On Monday, October 17, the Tom Tom Staff was asked to compose a tweet explaining why they write, using the hashtag “#WhyIWrite.” For some, it was as simple as letting them express themselves through their words. For others, it was because they can tell stories that aren’t always shared about the school and community, and to essentially give a voice to the voiceless.
