“Gremlins” Losing Popularity Decades Later

An 80s movie is losing favor among the next generation of movie fans.

One-time hit “Gremlins” is, for some ACHS community members, a classic that every movie buff should see. This movie incorporated little furry creatures that if wet, exposed to bright light, or fed food past midnight would experience unpleasant consequences. The movie was a hit during its release in 1984, and became a classic for many of that generation. But now, the movie is approaching 33 years-old, and is losing popularity among younger generations

Upon asking seniors Josh Sidare and Skyler Searle about their opinions on the movie, it became apparent that some have not even seen this movie.

“I have not seen the movie,” Searle said.

Sidare’s reaction was similar.

“No, I haven’t seen the movie, but I’ve heard of it,” Sidare said.

While Gremlins might be losing popularity, many still recognize the movie as a classic. For more reviews on Gremlins, visit http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087363/plotsummary.
